Merilebon Academy needed a modern, responsive, and information-rich website to improve their online presence, provide essential information to parents, and attract new students. I designed and developed a fast, SEO-friendly, and easy-to-navigate school website using WordPress and Elementor Pro.

My Design Process
1. Discovery & Research
> Held meetings with the school administrator to understand their goals and pain points.
> Reviewed competitor school websites for layout and functionality inspiration.
> Created a sitemap to organize content efficiently.
2. Wireframing & Planning
> Designed rough wireframes of key pages (Home, About, Admissions, Academics, Contact).
> Planned a navigation structure that would be intuitive for parents and students.
3. Design & Development
> Chose Hello Elementor theme for speed and customization.
> Used Elementor Pro to design dynamic, reusable sections (e.g., call to action, testimonials).
> Integrated photo galleries, academic program sections, and class breakdowns.
4. SEO & Performance
> Installed and configured Rank Math for SEO optimization.
> Added meta titles, descriptions, alt tags, and keyword-optimized headings.
> Optimized images using Jetpack and compressed media.
> Implemented caching and lazy loading for performance.
5. Testing & Launch
> Performed mobile responsiveness testing across devices.
> Fixed cross-browser display issues.
> Connected contact forms and tested email deliverability.
> Launched the site and handed over admin access with a short video tutorial for content updates.
